Robotic process automation

It fills the invoice, then stops when the date is missing.

RPA at Abloft is a bot that does a repetitive desk job and stops cleanly when the world does not match the script.

A useful bot is a careful clerk. It opens the same folder, reads the same three fields, and files the result. The lesson is not the happy path. The lesson is the invoice with a missing date.

You write the steps a person already does, build the bot, then break it on purpose. If it cannot explain why it stopped, it is not finished. Client work follows the same rule: we automate a process someone can describe, and we leave them a log.

What you practice

  • Naming each click before you automate it
  • Stopping on bad input instead of guessing
  • Handing over a run that someone else can audit

In practice

  • A written process before any bot exists
  • UiPath-style flows for repeatable desk work
  • Exception paths when a file, field, or button is missing
  • A run log a person can trust
